Blake Shelton has been with the “The Voice” since it began in 2011 and has won six of the previous 13 seasons. He is the reigning champ, having coached Chloe Kohanksi to victory last fall. However, he may have a hard time winning for a lucky seventh time in season 14 with the return of Alicia Keys and the addition of Kelly Clarkson to the coaching panel. Our readers say that both those women have stronger teams heading into the live round, which kicks off April 16 with all artists in the Top 24 performing.
As with the other three coaches, Shelton had to cut his team of eight down to five during the knockout round that just ended. In addition, he added one more artists to his team when their original coach went with another singer in their knockout.
We have compiled a power ranking of the contestants now on Team Blake Shelton. These would-be winners are listed from best to worst based on: their reception in the knockouts, battles and blind auditions; the resulting sales of their tracks on iTunes; and the votes of viewers like you.
Take a look at detailed bios of each of them in the photo gallery above and then read a the recap of each of the songs that got them to this stage of the competition. Cast your vote in our poll at the bottom of this post. And be sure to sound off in the comments section about Shelton and his years as a coach on “The Voice.” (Vote in the polls on Team Kelly Clarkson, Team Alicia Keys and Team Adam Levine too.)
