The Paradise, California native grew up inspired by classic artists like Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston. Only one coachKelly Clarkson — hadn’t yet filled their team at the conclusion of the blind auditions. Thus, Amber became the final member of Team Kelly by default. Can Amber make it all the way to the Season 14 live shows? Watch “The Voice” performance video above.

“I’m so happy that no one could turn their chair,” Kelly said while close to tears. “I need a minute, I need a minute. I can sing pretty high, but that was damn high. That was like me on my really good day. People might sing as high as you on the show, but not like how you sing on the show. That was like from the soul, like down here. I’m so excited that you are on my team. I would have fought like hell for you.”
