‘The Voice’ coaches: Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson are your favorites among the dozen to date [POLL RESULTS]

We wondered what viewers thought of Kelly Clarkson in her first season as a coach on “The Voice” and discovered that she rivals veteran Blake Shelton as your favorite. In our poll that includes all 12 coaches to date, she racks up an impressive 28% of the vote. Shelton, who has been with the show since it launched in 2011, tops the list with a whopping 38%.

Adam Levine, who has also been a coach for all 14 seasons of this NBC reality competition series, managed a mere 9%. The other coach in the current season, Alicia Keys, squeaks by Levine, with 10% of readers casting their ballots for her. If you haven’t voted yet, be sure to do so at the bottom of this post and sound off in the comments section about the best and worst of the dozen coaches on “The Voice.”

Clarkson may be new to the judging panel this year but she is coming off a well-received stint as an advisor on Season 13. This first winner of “American Idol” used her experience on that reality competition series to mentor artists during the make-or-break knockouts. She returned to the show to perform on the finale that saw Chloe Kohanksi become the sixth winner for Shelton.

Clarkson shifted easily from the role of advisor to mentor. She is not shy about expressing her strong opinions and holds her own against both Shelton and three-time champ Levine. And she has a rapport with the other woman on the panel, Keys, who is back in the chair for a third stint, coming off a win in spring 2017.

Of the other eight coaches, only two registered with viewers: original coach Christina Aguilera — who had to wait till season 11 before her first and only (to date) win — got 6% of the vote while two-time coach Miley Cyrus managed 4%.

The rest of the roster were also-rans, including one-time winning coaches Usher (season 6) and Pharrell Williams (season 8) as well as Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira and Gwen Stefani.
