‘The Voice’: Team Kelly Clarkson power rankings best to worst at midpoint of season 14 battle round

Kelly Clarkson is only in her first season as a coach on “The Voice,” but she is proving to be a formidable opponent to veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as the returning Alicia Keys. Her 12 artists earned a combined 24 chair turns during the blind auditions; that is second only to Keys whose original contestants numbered 29 chair turns between them.

Clarkson has pitted eight of these dozen artists against each other in battles on March 19 and 20. The four winners of those — Brynn Cartelli, Jorge Eduardo, Jamella and D.R. King — move on to the knockout round. Two of the four losers — Teana Boston and Amber Sauer — saw their time on “The Voice” come to an end. However, the other two who went down to defeat – Jackie Foster and Dylan Hartigan  – were rescued by Levine and Shelton respectively.

Clarkson has used one of her two steals, picking up Tish Haynes Keys when Levine opted to go with Rayshun LaMarr after their duet on “Sweetest Thing” on Battle 1. She will have to use the other in the two remaining battles on March 26 and 27. And she will have to winnow her other four artists – Alexa Cappelli, Hannah GoebelJustin Kilgore and Molly Stevens — down to two during those shows as well.

We have compiled a power ranking of the nine artists now on Team Kelly Clarkson. These would-be winners are listed from best to worst based on their reception in the blind auditions and battles, the resulting sales of their tracks on iTunes and the votes of viewers like you. If you haven’t voted in our poll yet, be sure to do so at the bottom of this post and then sound off in the comments section about both Clarkson and her team. (Vote in the polls on Team Alicia Keys, Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton too.)
