‘The Voice’ power rankings: Team Adam Levine all 6 artists from best to worst for Season 15

As we head into the first live show of Season 15 for “The Voice,” who do you think is the best artist on Team Adam Levine? We’ve got our exclusive best-to-worst rankings below for his competitors this year.

Next Monday and Tuesday “The Voice” will transition from its pre-taped rounds to live shows where the audience has a say in who stays and who goes. In these Live Playoffs, each of the four teams of six coached by Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Blake Shelton will compete for just three spots in the following round. Two of those spots will be determined by audience votes and the the last one by coach choice. For our recent play-by-play analysis of the Knockouts, click on these links for Monday, October 29, Tuesday, October 30 and Monday, November 5.

Below we rank Adam’s team based on our impressions of their three performances so far this season as well as the likelihood that they’ll be one of the three to advance. Team Adam is topped by DeAndre Nico, one of the season’s most versatile artists, who will almost certainly advance. After that it’s a battle between the two girls, Reagan Strange and RADHA, and one of the three remaining guys, Kameron Marlowe, Steve Memmolo and Tyke James, for the final two spots.

Here is the way the format will work on these first two lives shows for November 12 and 13. All 24 singers will perform on Monday night. For Tuesday evening’s results episode, the public will vote through two members of each team. Each coach will advance another artist from his or her team, making a total of 12 for the following week (three from each team).

See our ranking below, then let us know in the comments if you think we’re calling this race correctly!

1. DeAndre Nico
(Blinds: “When I Was Your Man”‘ Battle: “Can You Stand the Rain”; Knockout: “Wanted”)

Adam’s strongest artist this season is someone he has very little in common with as a vocalist. DeAndre’s strength is his artistry that spans genres and can adapt to different styles and textures. He’s someone that Adam can give over all control to with the confidence that their decisions will be the right ones. What is working most in DeAndre’s favor of advancing to the next round though is that there is no one else like him on Adam’s team and so in the event that he isn’t voted through, DeAndre is likely to earn Adam’s save.

2. Reagan Strange
(Blinds: “Meant to Be”; Battle: “Photograph”; Knockout: “Dancing on My Own”)

When Reagan reinterpreted “Dancing on My Own” in the knockouts she proved that she can evoke the emotional depth of a song despite her youth. She still has a bit of work to do on her stage presence and confidence, but the goods are clearly there for Adam to mold her into the type of artist that can create new ways of seeing some of pop’s biggest songs.

3. Kameron Marlowe
(Blinds: “One Number Away”; Battle: “Only Wanna Be with You”; Knockout: “I Shot the Sheriff”)

After getting a tough draw and losing in the knockouts, Kameron lucked into the team he belongs on through Adam’s steal. What Adam is great at is encouraging artists to step out of the comfort zone and Kameron is an artist that could easily become too one note week after week. Hopefully their pairing yields something unexpected because Kameron is one of the most passionate performers this season and could easily create some magic if given the right song.

4. Steve Memmolo
(Blinds: “Spooky”; Battle: “Amie”; Knockout: “Unaware”)

Steve had a breakthrough moment in the knockouts with “Unaware,” but he’s up against two guys similar to him on Team Adam and so it’s going to be a fight to the finish to see which one of the three Adam keeps after the live playoffs. What Steve has going for him is a bright stage presence that makes him an engaging artist to watch and one that might appeal to the viewers voting at home. If Steve can capitalize on his latest performance to deliver one just as, if not more, impressive then I’d give him good odds of being voted through to the next round.

5. Tyke James
(Blinds: “Perfect”; Battle: “She’s Always a Woman”; Knockout: “Ring of Fire”)

Well, I recently ranked Tyke as one of the sexiest guys in Voice history, mostly because of his undeniable beachy quality. The way he sings recalls the male singer songwriters of the 70s whose songs and voices remind us that music can be an escape. His best performance was the eery cover of “Ring of Fire” during the knockouts so he’s on the upswing and wouldn’t make a bad choice for Adam to take to the lives.

(Blinds: “Mamma Knows Best”; Battle: “Growing Pains”; Knockout: “I’ll Be There”)

RADHA’s blistering blind audition of “Mama Knows Best” made her one of my early favorites. Unfortunately in her two shows since she hasn’t lived up to the height of that start. In the battles the producers edited her performance down to a snippet and she lost her knockout. Though Adam saved her to keep her on his team, that she lost out to another teammate already doesn’t bode well for her chances at surviving the big cut to make the live shows.
