‘The Voice’ results: Christiana Danielle’s instant save performance of ‘A Thousand Years’ earns America’s last-minute vote [WATCH]

Tuesday night on “The Voice,” Christiana Danielle from Team Alicia Keys and Sharane Calister from Team Adam Levine were named America’s bottom two artists in the live Top 11 results episode. Both ladies were given the chance to sing for America’s instant save, with Christiana choosing to perform Christina Perri‘s “A Thousand Years.” After the performance America voted live to send Christiana through to next week’s Top 10, thereby eliminating Sharane from the reality TV competition. After giving an emotionally textured rendition of “A Thousand Years,” Alicia pleaded with the live audience to save Christiana. “I gotta stand up for this one,” Alicia announced as she stood on her feet. “If y’all didn’t get the most amazing goosebumps just listening to this beautiful woman singing, I mean, that’s what you do, Christiana. I was trying to describe to somebody who you were and I was trying to think of artists who’d get them the idea and I realized there’s no one. Because there’s only you.”

In his recap of “The Voice” results show our live-blogger Denton Davidson declared, “Christiana has so much star quality it would be a shame to see her go home this early. This performance felt more passion-filled than Sharane’s but I can’t say it was vocal perfection either. This could be a close vote! Alicia begged America to save this unique artist.”
