‘The Voice’ Top 8 results: Kyla Jade, Britton Buchanan, Brynn Cartelli, Kaleb Lee, Pryor Baird and Spensha Baker get iTunes bonus

On Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” the Top 8 artists sang one solo apiece. The goal for each contestant was to make it into the top 10 on iTunes by Tuesday at noon ET so that they reaped the benefit of a vote multiplier. We can report that a whopping six of the acts registered enough sales to earn this bonus.

They are: Kyla Jade with her version of “Let It Be” by The BeatlesBritton Buchanan for his rendition of “The Rising” by Bruce Springsteen; Brynn Cartelli for her take on the Jackie DeShannon classic “What the World Needs Now is Love”; Kaleb Lee with the traditional “It is Well With My Soul”; Pryor Baird with his performance of “Change the World” by Eric Clapton; and Spensha Baker with the Maren Morris hit “My Church.”

It is all but certain that the two artists who did not place in the top 10 on iTunes — Rayshun LaMarr and Jackie Foster — will be eliminated. (Scroll down to see the complete sales figures.)

Last week, only four artists made the Top 10 on iTunes: Jade was at #5 with her show-stopper “This Is Me” by Keala Settle; Cartelli was in the eighth slot for her cover of the Coldplay hit “Fix You”; Buchanan was at #9 for his rendition of “What’s Love Got to Do with It” by Tina Turner; and Baird just made the cut with his version of “My Town” by Montgomery Gentry.

Of the other two contestants in this week’s top 10, Baker was at #15 last week for her take on Taylor Swift’s hit “Red” while Lee was down at #23 for his version of “Boondocks” by Big Little Town. While both got a boost in sales this week, Baker did not get as big a bounce as Lee. Could that mean that she will be in the bottom three that have to fight for the Instant Save on Tuesday’s show? And who else will have to sing for survival?
