Yes, “Atlanta” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” scored tons of nominations (16 and 14, respectively) and they now look officially like the frontrunners to win Best Comedy Series, but, hold your horses, Derbyites! “Barry” waaaay overperformed, reaping 13 nominations in all of the key categories usually needed to prevail in the top category. Can it pull off an upset?
And what about the race for Best Drama Series? As expected, “Game of Thrones” (22) and “The Handmaid’s Tale” (20) reigned with a royal treasure of nominations, but “Westworld” bagged an amazing tally, too (21). Can it triumph?
