When does ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Season 18 premiere? We’ve got the flamin’ hot scoop!

Is it me or is it getting hot in here? That’s because the Season 18 premiere of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” is right around the corner. Things will get cooking with host Gordon Ramsay’s reality TV competition series on Sept. 28 at 9 PM ET/PT. Of course, there is a spicy twist. For the first time, eight veteran contestants will return to compete with eight rookies. There is nothing better than the taste of redemption, and all the seasoned chefs –  several who came so close to winning previously – will be hungry for their second chance to win.

An added ingredient? For the first time since Season 1, the teams will not be separated by genders.

As usual, the chefs will have to undergo a series of difficult culinary challenges and dinner services to convince Ramsay they deserve to win a career-changing prize: a position at world’s first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas – with a bonus of $250,000. See the complete list of “Hell’s Kitchen” winners.

Here are the names of the blue team of returning veterans: Ariel Fox (Season 6, third place); Bret Hauser (Season 4, left due to injury); Heather Williams (Season 16, runner-up); Jen Gavin (Season 4, fourth place); Kevin Cottle (Season 6, runner-up); Roe DiLeo (Season 13, runner-up); T Gregoire (Season 14, runner-up); and Trevor McGrath (Season 8, fourth place).

In the premiere episode, the rookies have to cook their best versions of their signature dishes and the vets will have to re-create those same dishes, without making their own signature recipe. The winners team will be treated to a first-class meal at restaurant Charcoal alongside Ramsay.
