The highly anticipated “American Idol” 2018 finale is just days away. ABC has scheduled the two-night Season 16 face-off between Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe and Gabby Barrett for Sunday, May 20 and Monday, May 21. After the trio performs on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, America will vote for who they want to join the likes of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson on the winners list. The results will be announced live on Monday night at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from CBS Television City in Hollywood.
If you’re hoping to attend one of the final two “American Idol” live shows, you must try your luck by entering the ticket lottery at On Camera Audiences. To apply for tickets, simply submit your personal info (first and last name, email address, phone number, date of birth and state) on that website and the lucky recipients will be emailed when tickets are released. Tickets are free.
Season 16 marked the first installment to air on ABC after Fox cancelled the reality TV phenomenon two years ago. New judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie joined the panel in the search for the next singing superstar. Longtime host Ryan Seacrest was this season’s only familiar face as “American Idol” made the move to the Disney network. The show was originally created by Simon Fuller.
