‘World of Dance’: The Rock Company were ‘perfection’ as they paid tribute to Las Vegas shooting victims [WATCH]

Being on “World of Dance” meant “everything” to The Rock Company dance troupe that took the stage at the end of “The Qualifiers 6” on Tuesday night. “We’re doing this for our city,” said one young member. They hail from Las Vegas, Nevada, so they were personally affected by the mass shooting last October 1 during a music festival that killed 58 people and injured another 851. They choreographed a routine to “Imagine” as a tribute to the victims. “The world needs more love. Our message is about having hope and being kind to one another.” Watch it above, and see what the judges had to say below:

Jennifer Lopez: “When I thought about this show I thought about amazing pieces that really made you feel something, where you saw the talent, beauty, and magnificence of dancers. And I just thought that you guys represented that in every way, shape, or form that I could have ever imagined. And I thank you.”

Derek Hough: “You guys just produced something that was so magical, so special. The emotion was so real, but what made it even more powerful is that your foundation of dancing, your ability was so strong that it allowed the emotion to come through even stronger. Perfection.”

Ne-Yo: “I’ve got to agree with Derek. There’s nothing better than emotion that is real. This was genuine emotion, elegant, and powerful. Amazing job.”

That routine resulted in scores of 97 from Ne-Yo, 97 from Lopez and 96 from Hough for an average of 96.7. That was not only the highest score of the night by far but also the highest score for any Junior Team Division act this season so far. Suffice it to say that they easily qualified for the next round of the competition.
