SEE ‘America’s Got Talent’ predictions: 5 acts advancing from Semifinal 1 will be Duo Transcend, Michael Ketterer, Shin Lim, Voices of Hope, ZurcarohMel B: “Oh my gosh! On this show I go from crying to laughing to screaming to yelling, and then just being completely wowed and stunned. That was incredible, guys. I felt like I was in the theater watching your own production. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.”
Heidi Klum: “I mean, it was an epic, grand spectacle. It was unbelievable. Every single one of you is truly amazing. So good.”
Simon Cowell: “From now on we’re going to call you the greatest showman, because that’s what you are. Actually what you just did, how you’ve done this, in the short period of time a week ago to put this together on live television. I never dreamt in my wildest dreams, years ago when this show first started, that we would find talent like this, and now we have. You’ve made all of our dreams come true. It was absolutely sensational.”
Howie Mandel: “You know, I’ve gotta say, this has been an amazing season. This is an amazing night, the first Semifinal. There’s a saying in show business where you want to save the best for last. And I think we just did tonight. You are the best act tonight. You are the last. I don’t think any other act that we saw tonight could follow this. This was a show-stopper. The show stops now. The voting begins. It is spectacular. I am just so amazed by what you do. Good luck.”
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “Last to perform tonight was Tyra’s golden buzzer Zurcaroh. Tonight the inspiration for their performance was ancient civilizations with Egyptian-Roman costumes and an Olympus-like set design. The act itself featured towers and flips in the center of the stage while the main company danced in sync around the tricks. Once again the judging panel was completely stunned calling it a ‘grand spectacle’ and Simon complimented the group’s leader on his ability to put such a sensational act together in a short period of time.”
