As of this writing almost 2,000 Gold Derby users have voted for the 17th Annual Gold Derby Film Awards, but time’s running out to cast your ballot. Voting ends on Sunday night, February 17, and the winners will be announced during a live webcast next week. So show the Oscars who’s boss by picking the winners that really count. If you’ve already entered your votes, not to worry. You’re free to make any changes you like until Sunday night. Your choices won’t be final until voting closes. (Check out the complete list of nominations here.)
To vote, visit our predictions center here. Then scroll down to “Gold Derby Film Awards 2019” and click the green box to the right that says “VOTE” to enter your picks in as many or as few categories as you wish. This is a plurality vote, so select your top choice ONLY in each category. The nominee with the most votes in each category wins.
“The Favourite” earned 12 nominations at these kudos, more than any other film. It’s up for Best Picture, Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz) and many more. Its nine rivals for the top prize include five other Best Picture contenders at the Oscars — “BlacKkKlansman,” “Black Panther,” “Green Book,” “Roma” and “A Star is Born” — as well as “Hereditary,” “If Beale Street Could Talk,” “A Quiet Place” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
Who wins in that category and in 21 others is up to you, so make sure you make your voice heard. And don’t think your vote doesn’t matter because some of these races are going right down to the wire. Every single ballot counts.
