2019 SAG Awards: What time does the show start, who will win, who hosts?

The 25th annual edition of the SAG Awards begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 27. Awards in 6 film and 9 TV categories will be handed out at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles during a two-hour ceremony hosted by Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”) that airs live nationwide on TNT and TBS .

We are predicting the winners of all 15 Screen Actors Guild Awards races. Our forecasts are based on a combination of five sets of predictions by: 19 Experts (journalists from outlets like Deadline, Variety who write about the SAG Awards)our nine EditorsTop 24 Users (those two dozen folks who scored the best predicting last year’s winners); the All-Star 24 (users who did the best for the last two years combined); and thousands of reader just like you.

Among the movies in contention,  we are predicting that a pair of them will win a pair of prizes each. “Black Panther” will win for both ensemble awards for acting and stunts. And “Vice” will claim two of the individual acting awards with leading man Christian Bale and supporting player Amy Adams prevailing.

Glenn Close will continue her march to the Oscars with another Best Actress win for “The Wife” while Mahershala Ali (“Green Book”) looks set to pick up a bookend to the Supporting Actor trophy he won for “Moonlight” two years ago.

On the TV side, the SAG Awards usually like to spread the wealth. But this year, two shows are likely to win twice each: “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will win for both its comedy ensemble and leading lady Rachel Brosnahan. And “This Is Us” should take the drama ensemble award with its leading man Sterling K. Brown winning again.

Michael Douglas (“The Kominsky Method”) will claim Comedy Actor. Sandra Oh (“Killing Eve”) is tipped to take home the Drama Actress award. Amy Adams (“Sharp Objects”) and Darren Criss (“Assassination of Gianni Versace”) are expected to win the two limited series/TV movie acting races. And “GLOW” is favored for the stunt ensemble award.
