No surprises here!  A whopping 65% of ‘Project Runway’ fashionistas covet a Sebastian Grey custom design [POLL RESULTS]

We aren’t saying that Sebastian Grey  is the best designer of Season 17 of “Project Runway” and most likely to win. It is too early for that, what with two more episodes to go before a decision has been made. But there is a reason that the congenial Colombian-born transplant got the lion’s share of votes – 65% to be exact  — from fans who would be very happy to have him whip up a custom ensemble for them.

The dude is consistent and can make a well-constructed design with a minimum of drama. It makes sense that most picked Sebastian, who has won two challenges,  since he is the only designer who has never landed in the bottom with a bad critique. Coming in a distant second is corset king Garo Sparo with 15% preferring he would make their outfit. He also has won two challenges but has had a low score twice as well. Plus, face it, not everyone thinks it’s a cinch to wear a waist-squeezing garment.

Baltimore’s own Bishme Cromartie won the confidence of 13% of those who voted, with his two wins balancing out his one low week.

As anyone who has been paying attention knows, Hester Sunshine certainly is an acquired taste, although the judges seem to adore her off-the-wall aesthetic. But a mere 7% would want one of her designs. Part of the reason is that her three wins – the most of any competitor this season – is also offset by three low scores.
