“The Masked Singer” judges (Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong) seriously disagree on who’s hiding behind the Flamingo costume on Fox’s crazy and fun reality TV show. Is it Cheetah Girls starlet Adrienne Bailon, singer/television star Jessica Simpson or someone else entirely? Below, we take a look at the judges’ theories in anticipation of the two-hour finale of “The Masked Singer” on Wednesday, December 18. Be sure to give us YOUR final guess for Flamingo down in our poll, and then defend your choice in the comments section.
After Flamingo took on Jeff Buckley‘s “Hallelujah” during the holiday semi-finals, Robin announced, “There have been some amazing performances and some amazing vocals but that was the first chill that went up and down by spine on this season. I think that you are Flamingo-ing to the finals. Thank you very much.”
Flamingo’s holiday gift for the panelists was a world globe with the word “Israel” highlighted. She declared, “I was baptized in Israel.” At first the judges seemed stumped, but then Nicole jumped out of her chair and reminded viewers that Israel is the name of Adrienne’s husband. Ken disagreed, saying the physical clue related to Jessica because, “She is a lover of maps and globes.”
“To me [Flamingo] has a very recognizable voice,” Jenny noted. “Along with the clues we kind of saw today, we saw a luggage that had a cheetah print on it. I think this is someone that was a Cheetah Girl who has an amazing voice, so I’m sticking with Adrienne Bailon, girlfriends!” Nicole briefly suggested Sabrina Bryan from the Cheetah Girls, but said she ultimately thought it was Adrienne because, “I know her.” Ken wasn’t sold by either of those guesses, instead proclaiming, “Jessica Simpson started out in a church choir. And also, guess what? She once stayed at a Ritz-Carlton in Florida where she came across some flamingos.”
Last week viewers watched as three costumed characters were eliminated over two nights: Tree (Ana Gasteyer), Thingamajig (Victor Oladipo) and Leopard (Seal). That resulted in Flamingo, Fox and Rottweiler advancing to the Season 2 finale, where they’ll compete to win the coveted Golden Mask.
