A whopping seven artists were eliminated during “The Voice” live playoffs as the viewers and coaches picked the Top 13 contestants from Season 17. Of these unlucky seven singers, fans are most upset over the elimination of Alex Guthrie of Team John Legend. A leading 23% of people voted in our recent poll that Alex was most “robbed” following his live performance of “If I Ain’t Got You.” Do YOU agree or disagree with those poll results? This 25-year-old from Marietta, Georgia began his “Voice” journey as a member of Team Kelly Clarkson. However, she cut Alex from her team after she paired him against Hello Sunday in the knockout round. That’s when John swooped in to steal Alex, though their time together was short.
“It was so well done,” John declared about his live performance. “I love you down in that baritone range. It just sounds so rich and soulful. And then you hit those powerful high notes, too. It was a really beautiful performance from beginning to end. Welcome to Team Legend.” Alex’s former coach Kelly even chimed in that she believed he’d make it “to the finale.”

Besides “If I Ain’t Got You,” Alex also performed the following songs during his time on “The Voice”: “Love and Happiness” in the blind auditions, “Home” in the battles, “I’m Not the Only One” in the knockouts and “Stay” as his “save me” song during the playoff results.
