‘American Idol’ frontrunners: Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy and Jeremiah Harmon lead Top 14 on season 17

It took six weeks but “American Idol” has finally revealed the Top 14 contestants who will sing for your votes beginning on April 14. We asked you which of these are the early favorites to win season 17, which is hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Only three of these 14 finalists – Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy and Jeremiah Harmon — registered double digit support in our poll. Each of these frontrunners was a clear favorite for at least one of the three judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

None of the other 11 other artists in the Top 14 — Laci Booth, Walker Burroughs, Evelyn Cormier, Wade Cota, Dimitrius GrahamAshley Hess, Eddie Island, Uché Ndubizu, Alyssa Raghunandan, Riley Thompson and Madison VanDenburg. — merited more than five percent of the vote. Are we underestimating one of these talents?

If you haven’t voted for your choice of the “American Idol” season 17 winner yet, be sure to cast your ballot in the poll at the bottom of this post.
