The Sunday April 14 episode of the ABC revival of “American Idol” showcased the Top 14. Each of the finalists sang one song. Overnight, America gets to vote for their favorites, with the results revealed by host Ryan Seacrest on Monday’s episode. The top seven vote-getters are assured of a place in the Top 10. The other seven artists will have to sing one song for survival, with the three judges — – Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — choosing which three get to move on in the competition and which four go home.
Heading into Sunday’s show, three of the Top 14 — Alejandro Aranda, Laine Hardy and Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon — were the clear frontrunners, according to our poll of viewers. Each of them had racked up at least 10% of the total vote to date. If they tally at least that when America weighs in, then each of them should number among the lucky seven finalists to move through automatically on Monday, April 15.
Who do you think was the best of the Top 14? Scroll down to review the songs that they sung and then vote in our poll for your favorites. And be sure to sound off on season 17 of “American Idol” in the comments section.
