This Sunday’s episode of “American Idol” will showcase the Top 6 in two performances apiece. Each of the half dozen finalists will sing a song from the summer of 1969 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival. And under the guidance of their mentor, the Grammy-winning Christian music artist Lauren Daigle who got her start on “Idol,” each will perform an inspirational show-stopper.
The Top 6 finalists, who were the top vote-getters on Queen Night last Sunday (April 28), are: Alejandro Aranda, Laci Kaye Booth, Wade Cota, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, Laine Hardy and Madison VanDenburg. After reviewing the song spoilers, be sure to vote for your favorite artist to win win season 17 at the bottom of this post. Then sound off on this revival of “American Idol” hosted by Ryan Seacrest in the comments section.
Unlike the FOX version of the show, the ABC edition is airing live nationwide. This allows the whole country to have a say in who goes forward in the competition. At the end of Sunday’s two-hour episode, two artists will be eliminated. One of these will be hoping to inspire judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie to use their one save of the season.
