After five episodes dedicated to auditions, “America’s Got Talent” moves on to the Judges Cuts portion of the competition on July 16. Over the course of four episodes, each of which will have a guest judge, the panel will cull the acts down from 18 to a more manageable seven, who will go on to the live shows.
Joining the four regular judges this week is country music superstar Brad Paisley, As you can see from the sneak peek of the first 10 minutes of Tuesday’s episode, he is having a lot of fun with Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Howie Mandel and Gabrielle Union.
As with the regular judges, Paisley also gets a Golden Buzzer, which will send one of the acts straight through to the live shows. As he explains, his criteria for finding this is simple: “I want to see a person that has a gift to give humanity. They’re going to walk out here and it will be a moment where we needed it and we didn’t even know it.”
First up for the five of them to consider is the dog act Lukas and Falco. Lukas readily admits that it will be tough to win them over but with Falco about to retire he hopes they can get one last chance to shine. Their routine is set to the music from the hit film “The Greatest Showman.” Simon is already a fan and as you can see from the video above, it looks like he was won over once again. He declares at the end of their routine, “You couldn’t have done more to make me love this act.”
