During Tuesday’s fifth audition episode of “America’s Got Talent,” 10-year-old Emanne Beasha belted out “Nessun Dorma” for judges Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel. This Florida resident, whose father owns an ice cream shop, is hoping to be the next talented kid to win the show following Bianca Ryan (Season 1), Grace VanderWaal (Season 11) and Darci Lynne Farmer (Season 12). Surprising no one, Emanne earned four “yes” votes from the panelists so she’ll next be seen in the Judge Cuts round. Do you think the young opera singer has what it takes to go all the way? Watch the performance video above and read the judges’ comments below.
Julianne: “How does that voice come out of that little body? Wow.”
Simon: “I mean seriously, that was unbelievable. What an amazing person. Your dad’s got the best job in the world. It must be magic ice cream. And then you come along and just do that. You are absolutely fantastic.”
Howie: “How does somebody your age get into that kind of music? I believe that after tonight they’re gonna be recognizing you on the street, so your life is never gonna be the same and your dreams are about to come true.”
Gabrielle: “The whole audience was like, you’ve gotta be kidding me. You’re that talented. You’re just a star, you know? Wow, wow, wow.”
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson wrote this about the performance: “A 10-year old girl named Emanne is next on stage and her nervous giggles soon subside to reveal a young diva in training. She wows the audience with a beautiful rendition of the opera classic ‘Nessun Dorma.’ This is definitely an impressive performance, despite the fact that we’ve heard this song numerous times on ‘AGT’ before. Emanne nails the high notes without flinching and the audience goes wild as the judges jump to their feet. Simon calls her ‘absolutely fantastic’ and Howie says her life will never be the same and her dreams are about to come true. Gabrielle says, ‘You’re just a star.’ Four yeses for Emanne!”
