‘America’s Got Talent’ live results 2 recap: Which 7 acts advanced to semifinals and who won the Dunkin’ Save? [UPDATING LIVE BLOG]

Another 12 acts performed live on Tuesday’s two-hour episode of “America’s Got Talent.” Only seven of the dozen acts who competed will move on to the semifinals. So which acts earned enough votes to perform again in the next round? Overnight viewers voted for their favorites and the quarterfinal 2 results were revealed during a one-hour episode of “AGT” on Wednesday.

New host Terry Crews will open the show by announcing the names of the three acts who placed sixth, seventh and eighth in the overnight vote. They will be eligible for the Dunkin’ Save. The most popular of this trio with viewers of Wednesday’s show will earn a place in the semifinals alongside the top five acts.

The two acts that don’t win the Dunkin’ Save will then have to hope that they win over enough of the four judges to be their choice as the seventh act to make it through to the semifinals in two weeks time.

8:05: After Terry teased the return of one of the “Got Talent” biggest breakout stars, Susan Boyle, he chatted with Simon Cowell about her first audition a decade ago. Then they made merry with Howie Mandel, who is celebrating his 10th anniversary as a judge on “AGT.”

8:12: Following a dizzying recap of Tuesday night’s live performance show, Terry brought the 12 acts on stage to reveal the first set of results from the overnight audience vote. He announced that the three acts hoping for the Dunkin’ Save are: Chris Kläfford, Ndlovu Youth Choir and Charlotte Summers.

8:14: Another jam-packed video package, taking us into the Dunkin lounge after Tuesday’s performance show.

8:18: Now we get a clip package with some of the acts reflecting on what they were doing a decade ago, when Howie first started on “AGT.”

8:20: Two Golden Buzzers — rapper Joseph Allen and violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa — are pitted against each other with Tyler, who was Simon’s pick, going through over Howie’s choice,

8:28: No surprise that the danger dance troupe V.Unbeatable , who were guest judge Dwayne Wade‘s Golden Buzzer, got through over would-be magicians The Sentimentalists, who were the Wild Card act.

8:32: Light Balance Kids and Robert Finley got good news while Nick and Lindsay got the heave-ho.

8: 44: Susan Boyle made a triumphant returned to the “AGT” stage with a stunning performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables.”

8:50: Comedian Ryan Niemiller got through while contortionist Marina Mazepa missed out.

8:52: The Dunkin Save went to singer Chris Kläfford

9:00: The judges split: Gabrielle  and Simon opted for Ndlovu Youth Choir while Julianne and Howie went with Charlotte. The deadlock was decided by the public vote, which was for the choir.
