Anna Chlumsky (‘Veep’) 2019 Emmy Awards episode revealed for Best Comedy Supporting Actress (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Anna Chlumsky is entering the “Veep” episode “Pledge” as her 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. This program aired April 14 and was the third episode of the seventh season for the HBO show.

In this installment, Amy (Chlumsky) has Dan (Reid Scott) take her in for an abortion. Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is preparing for the first presidential debates and tries to find advantages over Senator Talbot. Jonah (Timothy Simons) tries to be politically correct.

It’s the sixth nomination at the Emmys for Chlumsky in this role. For the 2019 contest, she is competing against past winners Alex Borstein (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”), returning nominees Olivia Colman (“Fleabag”) and Betty Gilpin (“GLOW”), plus rookie contenders Sian Clifford (“Fleabag”), Sarah Goldberg (“Barry”) and Marin Hinkle (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”).
