BAFTA Film Awards 2019 winners: Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our User Sofya285 for an excellent score of 90.48% when predicting the 2019 BAFTA Film Awards winners on Sunday. She is actually tied with moviefan61794 at that percentage but has the better point score total of 8,238 by using the 500 super bets wisely.

Over 2,200 people worldwide predicted these 21 categories chosen by British academy voters. The ceremony was held in London and was hosted by Joanna Lumley. Our top scorer got 19 of those categories, only missing for Best Film Editing and Best Sound. That means correct picks for Best Picture and Director (“Roma,” Alfonso Cuaron) and all four acting categories (Olivia Colman, Rami Malek, Rachel Weisz and Mahershala Ali).

You can see how your score compares to all others in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. To see your own scores, go to the User menu in the top right corner of every page of Gold Derby when you’re signed in to the site. Use the drop down menu to go to “View Profile,” then look for the links to your “Award Show Scores.” Gold Derby must evaluate each potential winner’s eligibility as per our contest rules. If eligible, the first-place finisher receives a $100 Amazon gift card.

For the eight Editors predicting, we have a three-way tie on top at 76.19% for Joyce Eng, Daniel Montgomery and Tom O’Neil. Another three-way tie follows at 71.43% for Rob Licuria, Susan Wloszczyna and myself. Marcus Dixon is next with 66.67% and then Paul Sheehan with 61.90%. See Editors’ scores.
