‘Big Brother’ 21 episode 11 recap: Was Cliff or Nicole evicted on Thursday, July 18? [UPDATING LIVE BLOG]

Well, that took a turn. Just days after Head of Household Nick Maccarone promised preschool aide Nicole Anthony that he wouldn’t put her up on the block this week, he ended up doing just that after the newly created nine-person alliance (Unde9able) turned on her. Unfortunately, Nicole’s previous warnings to Nick and Isabella Wang about not trusting their own alliance were twisted and manipulated by people like Jackson Michie into making Nicole look like a liar. With the fourth elimination on the line, did the house decide to make Cliff Hogg or Nicole the final member of Camp Comeback?

9:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In Wednesday’s 10th episode, Kathryn Dunn proved she’s a physical player when she won the Power of Veto, which she used to remove Jessica Milagros from the block. Nick then named Nicole as a replacement nominee after she became public enemy number one inside the house. Either Cliff or Nicole will be evicted tonight, but their game won’t necessarily be over since they’ll become the final member of Camp Comeback with the shot or returning as a full-fledged player. Who will it be? Let’s go!

9:10 p.m. — Julie greets the houseguests to let them know about tonight’s Comeback Competition. The winner will be back in the game and the other three will head home for good. But first, let’s see what’s happened since last night’s episode. Following the Veto ceremony, Nick is certain Nicole will be sent packing. Nicole feels conflicted about campaigning against Cliff, who she’s been working with, but she’s got to save herself. Kemi suggests Nicole talk to Nick, but Nicole feels lost. All of her friends are part of Camp Comeback or on the block with her. Meanwhile, Cliff is feeling confident after Nick tells him Nicole is going home. Up in the HOH Room, Christie apologizes to Nick for her insane paranoia. To make herself appear more trustworthy, she lets them in on her secret that she has the Diamond Power of Veto. Nick is stoked to hear this news and Isabella just looks shocked.

9:15 p.m. — Later, Michie tells Christie, Holly Allen, Jack Matthews and Tommy Bracco and Analyse Talavera that he doesn’t trust anything Nick says. They’re the real core alliance of six and call themselves the Six Shooters. Later, Christie tells Holly and Analyse that evicting Nicole isn’t in their best interest and she’s voting for Cliff. She thinks Nicole will potentially help them and she wants someone who will go after Nick and Bella so they don’t need the blood on their hands. Tommy suggests they could pull Cliff in, but Christie doesn’t trust someone who vocally said he wants to eliminate all the couples. Tommy agrees with Christie and now Cliff is suddenly looking like a better target. Even Jack says he will have Christie’s back on this one. Upstairs, Nick and Bella are talking about how great their alliance and how much Christie and Jack have their back. They have no idea their alliance is all gunning for them.

9:25 p.m. — As they prepare to get back into the game, it’s clear David Alexander, Ovi Kabir and Kemi Fakunle have one thing on their minds – payback! David has been trying his best to build relationships with everyone in the house and make everyone his best friend. He’s been charming everyone in the house, especially if he doesn’t trust him. He wants Michie to trust him, but Michie would be his number one target. Ovi hates how ostracized the players have made them feel. He’s been trying to win people over by baking cookies and considers Cliff his best ally in the house. Upon his return, he’s depending on his Nightmare Power and alliance with Cliff. As for Kemi, Nicole is the only person she trusts in the game. She thinks Michie is fake, Bella needs to learn to keep her mouth closed, and she simply can’t get along with Jack. Her top priority upon returning would be to eliminate Jack.

9:40 p.m. — It’s time for the live eviction! Cliff stands up and tells everyone he loves them and there will be no hard feelings if he’s evicted. Yawn! Nicole says they need to grab life by the boobs and make a strong move by voting for her to stay. Time to vote! Voting for Cliff: Analyse, Jack, Christie, Holly, Michie and Tommy. Voting for Nicole: Isabella, Sam Smith, Jessica and Kathryn (who also says “Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on.”) It’s official, by a vote of 6-4 Cliff was evicted and Nick and Bella were blindsided! Nick and Bella look shocked and pissed. It’s hilarious. Now it’s time for the Comeback Competition!

9:50 p.m. — The houseguests gather in the backyard to see if Cliff, David, Kemi or Ovi will return to the game for a second shot at the half million dollars. In “Path to Redemption,” players will roll balls one at a time down a winding path in an attempt to deposit them into their receptacle. If nobody sinks six balls within three minutes, the winner will be the player who sinks the most balls in the fastest time. In a shocking twist, Cliff is annihilating the competition! He sinks six balls while Ovi gets just one. David and Kemi finished with zero. Wow! After just being evicted, Cliff returns to the game and David, Kemi and Ovi have been permanently eliminated.

9:59 p.m. — David, Kemi and Ovi are devastated to be eliminated. David in particular seems to have taken this loss hard. When asked who they’re rooting for, both David and Ovi say Cliff and Kemi would like to see Sam win. That’s a wrap for tonight!
