Heading into Wednesday’s second episode of “Big Brother” 21, Jackson Michie already had more power than almost any other player in the history of the game. Not only was he immune from eviction during the upcoming live episode on July 5 (see the complete schedule), but his Camp Director power gave him the ability to banish four people from the house. One of those banished players would be eliminated from the game following their performance in the BB Wilderness challenge, while the other three would soon return. So how did it all play out, and — oh yeah — who won the first Head of Household comp of the summer?

Then be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorite houseguests on CBS’s reality TV show, who annoys you the most and who you think will ultimately join the “Big Brother” winners list. 8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the one-hour season premiere, host Julie Chen Moonves introduced viewers to the 16 all-new houseguests. Two players — Tommy Bracco and Christie Murphy — revealed in secret that they already knew each other, but decided to play it off as though they were complete strangers. Later, Jackson campaigned for the Camp Director gig and beat out Jessica Milagros despite the “girls alliance” all telling Jessica they’d vote for her. Who will be the first houseguest eliminated from Camp BB? Let’s go!
8:10 p.m. – Jessica still doesn’t understand how the votes for Camp Director didn’t go her way. Now players are scrambling and begging Jackson for their safety. Each houseguest is making their own pleas for safety with the exception of Kemi, who refuses to scratch anyone’s back who hasn’t scratched hers. Jackson forms an early alliance with Jack and Isabella, which shocked nobody more than Isabella but she’ll take it! Jackson wants a strong support system around him when three jaded players return to the house for revenge. Jackson pulls David aside and asks him how he feels about being a pawn, knowing David can win the competition and return. David is no idiot and says, “No thanks!” but Jackson will probably toss him out anyways. Julie calls the houseguests to the living room and tells them it’s time for Jackson to make his selections. Which four will he banish?
8:15 p.m. – A creepy giant squirrel comes to escort the banished players out. The first to be pulled out of the house is Cliff. As the oldest player in the game, Cliff was a predictable choice which only Holly seems bothered by. The next houseguest to be pulled is Kemi. The third player to be banished is Jessica and last is David. It’s difficult not to notice Jackson tossed out the old man and three people of color, but I’ll hope it was not malicious.
8:25 p.m. – Cliff, David, Jessica and Kemi are stranded in the “wilderness” and must find their way back to “Camp BB” in the dark. The first three to find their way will return to the house. The last to return is banished for good and their game will be over. Cliff was the first to safely find his way back into the house and avoids the curse of the oldest player being eliminated first! Cliff doesn’t seem to be holding a grudge, but the remaining players lost in the forest seem like they’ll be out for blood when they return. Kemi is the second player to return and she can’t wait to kill Jackson with kindness and then stab him in the FRONT. At this point, Jackson hopes David is eliminated so he won’t come back guns blazing. Please let David make it back into this house! I want a full on “Big Brother” war.
8:35 p.m. – David and Jessica are still completely lost in the forest. David’s been running and circles and Jessica can barely even move from all the goo she’s been covered in. Finally, it’s Jessica that finds her way back into the house and David has been eliminated. I’m disappointed David’s game is over, but pleased to hear that Jessica wants revenge. Julie lets David now he’s out of the “Big Brother” house and he’s devastated. But if you listened closely, Julie says, “For now.” David is in tears in the Diary Room and can’t believe his game is over. He wanted to be the first African-American to win the game, but he’s hopeful there’s a chance he might return.
8:40 p.m. – Tommy and Christie are finally alone and have a chance figure out how they’ll move forward as players who know each other outside the game. Tommy wants to play with Christie, even though his family may not approve. Apparently things didn’t end well between her and whatever family member of his she was dating. Meanwhile, Jackson, Jack and Nick have formed an alliance and are working on washing off the blood on Jackson’s hands. Nick and Jack want to invite Christie, Isabella and Holly into their alliance. Christie and Holly are thrilled, but Isabella is trying to figure out who Christie even is. She accepts the offer anyways, because, why not?
8:55 p.m. – It’s time for the first HOH competition! Each week the HOH will be safe and must nominate two houseguests for eviction. As camp director, Jackson is already safe this week and won’t compete. This week’s HOH will be played in pairs of two. On Julie’s go, each pair will climb onto their log. The last person hanging on will become the HOH, so it’s still an individual competition. Jackson must choose the pairs, and he tries to make it as random as possible to avoid getting more blood on his hands. The power alliance of six hopes to win this one and get their summer started on a strong note. Will they succeed or will someone foil their plans? Jessica is the first player to hit the mat, followed by Jack, Kathryn, Nick, Ovi (he threw it), Sam, Kemi, Cliff, Isabella, and Nicole. Christie, Holly, Tommy and Analyse remain. Who will prevail?
8:59 p.m. – The final four players withstand a torrential downpour of paint before Analyse finally goes down. Holly goes down next and it’s between Tommy and Christie. Tommy isn’t sure if he should let Christie take the win so she knows he trusts her. Eventually, that’s just what he does and Christie is this season’s first HOH. Will she hold true to her new alliance or will they crumble as quickly as the came together? Personally, I don’t know how many more Diary Room chats from Sam I can handle so I won’t be mad if he’s a nominee! Who do you think Christie will nominate? We’ll find out Sunday!
