Last week on “Big Brother,” Julie Chen Moonves shocked the houseguests (and America) by revealing another big twist for Season 21: the first four people to be banished/evicted would remain in the house as part of “Camp Comeback.” Thus, David Alexander and Ovi Kabir are allowed to interact with the other players and work on their social games, but must sit out of all ceremonies and competitions. It’s all in preparation for an upcoming challenge that will let one of the first four boots return to the game as a full-fledged player. So how did this twist affect new Head of Household Jack Matthews‘ two nominations for eviction?

8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In Wednesday’s fifth episode, Jack just narrowly won the fireworks HOH comp against Jessica Milagros, putting all of the power in the hands of the Gr8ful alliance for the second week in a row. Last week Jack was so dead-set on evicting Kemi Fakunle that he brought HOH Christie Murphy to tears with his constant berating, so it’ll be a huge surprise if he doesn’t put her up as a nominee this week. But who will Jack nominate next to Kemi on the chopping block? Let’s go!
8:10 p.m. — The house is a roller coaster of emotions with Jack named the HOH and Camp Comeback in full effect with the return of David and Ovi. Christie is nervous because she told Ovi he was a pawn and now he’s still in the house after being unanimously voted out. Meanwhile, David is intent on making the biggest comeback in the history of the show. For the first time ever, Kathryn Dunn feels safe and now knows that no bitches were conspiring against her. One person not happy with how things turned out is Jackson Michie. Michie was responsible for David’s banishment and Kathryn convinces him to pull David onto his side. Jackson pulls David aside and tells him that he was trying to set him up to come back. David is no fool though and he won’t forget what Michie did to him.
8:15 p.m. — After failing to win over David, Michie runs straight to Ovi to make sure they’re still good. Ovi is keeping his cards close to the vest and it sounds as if he’s willing to work with everyone. Now it’s time for bro talk. Michie and Jack look deep into each others’ eyes to discuss game. Michie says Ovi still wants to work with them and then leaps into Jack’s loving arms. Over in another room, Kathryn is picking David’s brain and she wants to get him on her side. She tries to tell David what’s going on, but she has no clue. She says there are no alliances, and David all but calls her an idiot while explaining that if she doesn’t know of any alliances, then she’s the target! Meanwhile, Nicole Anthony is cozying up to Ovi. She tells him not to trust Jack or Michie. Ovi feels betrayed and really thought the guys had his back. This completely changes the way Ovi wants to move forward.
8:30 p.m. — It’s time for the Chaos Whacktivity! Taking part in this competition are Jack, Holly Allen, Tommy Bracco, Michie and Sam Smith. Tommy is up first and walks out into the backyard to find snakes everywhere! In this activity, players must find a match for each of the special snakes on display by searching the snake pit. The houseguest that matches all three snakes in the fastest time will win the secret power. Just to be clear, these snakes are ALIVE in the snake pit. Everyone finds them pretty easily, but it’s still a creepy task. When the competition concludes, we find out that Jack won the secret power. Jack lies to Holly and Michie and plants it in their minds that Tommy or Sam must have won. His power allows him to force a redraw when picking players for the Veto. After all chips are drawn and players are set, he may force the HOH to put the chips back in the bag and redraw. This power can be used once and expires after there are six people left in the game.
8:40 p.m. — The houseguests gather in the living room to learn of a special surprise. The winner of the next Veto competition will win a trip for two to Fiji! Later, houseguests gather in the bathroom and appear relaxed and they’re joking around. Holly and Michie seem to be forming a bit of a showmance and he’s got to squash what he has going on with Kathryn. Michie asks Holly if she’s interested in a showmance and she says she’ll consider it once he stops sleeping in Kathryn’s bed. Next, Kathryn just hops right into the hammock with Michie and Holly and forces an awkward situation. I guess she can’t take a hint. Later that night, Michie complains to Jack that he can’t deal with a 29-year old (Kathryn) hanging all over him. Jack has the opportunity to take this problem off Michie’s hands and put Kathryn on the block, but is that what’s best for their alliance?
8:50 p.m. — Michie pulls Kathryn aside and tells her they need to separate for the benefit of both of their games. She’s caught completely off guard and says nobody thinks they’re in a showmance. She reminds him that he spends much more time with Holly, but he deflects that point and tells her they can’t be friends. Kathryn heads to the Diary Room and expresses her shock and disdain for this conversation. She says she was never even into him and she won’t answer his phone calls after this show is over. Meanwhile, serious game play is happening in the bedroom. Jessica, Nicole, Kemi and Isabella Wang are forming an all-girl alliance because they are annoyed the guys think they can manipulate them. They are calling themselves the Black Widows and have already formed a final four deal. Isabella looks excited in the moment, but in the Diary Room she is more skeptical. She knows all-girl alliances never hold strong and there’s no way she’s going to trust Jessica, Nicole and Kemi to drive her to the end.
8:55 p.m. — Isabella wants to ensure that the Black Widow alliance doesn’t get back to Jack and hurt her game. She heads up to the HOH room and spills all the tea about Jessica wanting to form an all-girl alliance. She completely throws Jess under the bus and now Jack knows everything. Not knowing she’s been exposed, Jess heads up to speak with Jack and talk game with him for the first time. Jack immediately tells her that he’s heard Jess tried to establish an all girl alliance. Jess is shocked that someone exposed her like that and she wants to find out who ratted on her.
8:59 p.m. — It’s time for the nomination ceremony! As the reigning HOH, Jack will nominate two players for eviction. He has chosen to nominate Jessica and Kemi. He says he nominated them because he respects them, but he heard they are targeting him. Jessica is livid and has no idea who she can trust. Kemi isn’t surprised at all and just thinks Jack is a moron. Who will win the Power of Veto? And will it be used to save either Jessica or Kemi from eviction? Find out Wednesday on “Big Brother.”
