After either Kemi Fakunle or Jessica Milagros gets sent to Camp Comeback (probably the former) on Thursday’s episode of “Big Brother 21,” it’ll be time for the third Head of Household comp of the season — and here’s your first look at it.
The Twitter account @backyard_big, which has been taking aerial shots of the backyard for the past month, caught a glimpse of the construction of the HOH comp overnight. The shot shows a gigantic circular target in the center with what appears to be a beam over the middle. The back wall is emblazoned with a forest print.

Obviously, it’s unclear if this is the final setup, but speculation from “BB” fans has ranged from it being a crapshoot comp, like rolling a ball or launching a ball closest to the target, to an endurance one. The large target could suggest the spinning-on-a-disk comp, while the forest wall could be the backdrop of the wall comp.
Lest we forget, the first HOH comp — dangling on a log — was physical and the second one was mental. So we are “due” for a crapshoot, but a crapshoot comp would definitely end before the episode is over, just like last week’s quiz. An endurance comp would go long, so the series may want to drive fans to the live feeds (and thus sign up for CBS All Access) to see it play out.
Our guess? It’s probably a crapshoot. This HOH will coincide with the third and final Whacktivity Comp, which will be the centerpiece of Sunday’s episode. Once the Whacktivity Comp twist is over, “Big Brother” will need something “exciting” to fill the first Whacktivity-less Sunday episode before nominations at the end of the hour, and that something will likely be the conclusion of an endurance comp. Next week will also see the Camp Comeback Battle Back between the first three official evictees and banishee David Alexander, so that HOH will be the biggie, which also means the show might also save an endurance comp for that.
