‘Big Brother 21’: Week 1 Power of Veto ceremony results on #BB21 and what they mean for July 3 eviction

Can’t wait till Tuesday’s episode of “Big Brother 21″ to find out whether the first Power of Veto winner changes the line-up for the July 3 eviction. Then keep reading for some red-hot spoilers. We’ve kept a keen eye on the #BB21 live feeds and we know who claimed this game-changer and the shocking results of the first Power of Veto ceremony. Spoilers ahead

Sam Smith won the POV over the two houseguests nominated for eviction on July 3 (Kathryn Dunn and Cliff Hogg III); Head of Household Christie Murphy; and two of the other competitors (Nicole Anthony and Jack Matthews)..

At the Power of Veto ceremony, Sam decided that he would save Cliff. This meant Christie had to nominate another houseguest to take his place at the live eviction vote on Wednesday. Remember, the plan had long been that Kat would be saved at the POV ceremony with Christie then naming Kemi Faknule as her replacement.

But in the days since the first eviction nominations, that backdoor plan fell apart. Turns out Christie couldn’t come up with a good enough reason to put Kemi in the firing line. Jessica Milagros and Nicole Anthony both defended Kemi to Christie and noted that it would be bad if the first two people to exit the house were both black.

Add to that the fact that Kat is proving to be an emotional rollercoaster and many of the houseguests are already sick of that ride. As Christie observes to Holly Allen, Analyse Talavera, Jack Matthews and Ovi Kabir: “I don’t want to change the nominees and then see Kat bury herself in a hole, the whole house flips and I have an enemy in Kemi,”

All of this overthinking led to Sam saving Cliff and Christie nominating Ovi in his place. Turns out his advice to Christie to reconsider Kemi as the replacement came back to haunt him. What do you think will happen on Wednesday? Who will be evicted: Kat or Ovi?
