‘Big Brother 21’ spoilers: Who won week 5 Power of Veto competition on #BB21 and what does it mean for August 1 eviction?

Can’t wait till Wednesday’s episode of “Big Brother” to find out who won the Week 5 Power of Veto competition? Then keep reading as we’ve kept a keen eye on the #BB21 live feeds since they were turned on following last Thursday’s show and we know who claimed this game-changing power. Spoilers ahead

Holly Allen won the “Pose in Ivy” endurance competition to become Week 5 Head of Household. After several gruelling hours, she was the last woman hanging after Analyse Talavera dropped to the ground. Holly spent Friday figuring out who he wanted to nominate for eviction on August 1 and settled on Nick Maccarone and Sam Smith. She had been considering putting up Nick and a pawn but relented when then rest of her alliance expressed their disapproval of this move.

Holly’s final decision meant that she, Nick and Sam would take part in the Power of Veto competition on Saturday. Remember, Sam has won two of the four POVs to date. The other three houseguests competing were Tommy Bracco, Cliff Hogg and Jessica Milagros.

Nick won this hard-fought POV competition. At the Veto ceremony on Monday, he will remove himself from the line-up for eviction on Thursday. But who will replace him?

This decision would usually be left to the HOH. However, Christie Murphy can invoke her Panic twist. That would allow Nick  to name the replacement nominee. We will keep watching the feeds and report back with the results of Monday’s POV ceremony.
