‘Big Brother’ flashback: Are you happy Kaycee Clark won last season or was Tyler Crispen robbed? [POLL]

As the doors are primed to open on the “Big Brother” house for the reality TV show’s 21st season, let’s take a moment to reflect on last summer’s grand finale. Tyler Crispen, a 23-year-old lifeguard, may have been the favorite to win Season 20 but he ended up losing by a single jury vote to 30-year-old football player Kaycee Clark. For the record, Gold Derby readers accurately predicted that Kaycee would win, that Tyler would be the runner-up and that JC Mounduix would place third; they also correctly pegged Tyler as the recipient of America’s Favorite Houseguest. Vote in our poll below to let us know whether you’re happy Kaycee won last season or whether Tyler was robbed.

Kaycee earned a leading five votes from jury members Sam Bledsoe, Scottie Salton, Faysal Shafaat, Rockstar Lantry and Bayleigh Dayton. The other four jurors — JC, Angela Rummans, Brett Robinson and Haleigh Broucher — cast their votes for Tyler. See the complete “Big Brother” winners list.

Both Kaycee and Tyler were in a close alliance, dubbed Level 6, from week one, and so they voted together for the duration of the game. It’s interesting to note that the two members of Level 6 who were part of the jury (Angela and Brett) voted for Tyler to win and not Kaycee, suggesting that Tyler had more loyalty and respect from the season’s dominant alliance.

It’s possible that Tyler’s biggest mistake in the game was getting in that blood-spewing argument with Bayleigh following a house meeting, as she turned out to be the deciding vote for Kaycee to win. Perhaps if this surfer dude had done a better job at jury management throughout the game he could have taken down Kaycee in the final vote? We’ll never know for sure.

Of course, Kaycee was greatly helped by the fact that she was a competition beast, winning five Veto medallions and two Head of Household comps. Physical game aside, Kaycee had something else going for her that Tyler didn’t: she had no blood on her hands. Kaycee never had to break any promises or lie to peoples’ faces because she played a much more under-the-radar game than Tyler, which ended up working in her favor to the tune of $500,000.
