Sunday’s episode of “Big Brother” will begin by showing us what happened right after Holly Allen won Head of Household for Week 9. She claimed victory in the closing minutes of the live episode on August 22. But her win was tainted when Julie Chen Moonves revealed there was another twist ahead. Viewers were going to vote overnight and choose America’s Prankster. Watch the teaser video above for a taste of the drama in store on August 25. And keep reading if you want spoilers on what else is to come on this action-packed episode of #BB21.
The news of America’s Prankster sent Holly and her pal Jackson Michie into overdrive as they strategized through the night on Thursday and into Friday. All they knew was that the identity of the prankster would be secret and they’d get to choose one of the two nominations for eviction on August 29 and to name the renom if the Veto is used.
On Friday afternoon, we learned the identity of America’s Prankster: Nick Maccarone. He got to go first and single out one of the remaining six houseguests for possible elimination in the live vote next Thursday. Last week he had been the lone vote against Christie Murphy, so it was no surprise that he tapped her this week.
Jackson had been the HOH who’d nominated Christie and he would have liked to have had Holly do the same this week. But she had set her sights on Nick, and stuck with that choice when she was asked to name her nomination. Vote in our poll as to which of these two you’d like to see evicted on Thursday. Or do you like Christie and Nick so much that you want to see a substitution in the nominations? And be sure to sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on #BB21 so far.
You’ll have to wait till Wednesday’s show to see the all-important Power of Veto Competition, which takes place on Saturday and could change this line-up come Monday with the POV ceremony. We’ll be keeping an eye on the live feeds and report back with the POV results.
