Can’t wait till Wednesday’s episode of “Big Brother 21″ to find out who won the Power of Veto competition in Week 9? Then keep reading for spoilers as we’ve watching the #BB21 live feeds since they were turned on following Thursday’s episode and know who claimed this game-changing power on Saturday and what that could mean for the eviction nominations for the live show on August 29.
Holly Allen won the Head of Household competition at the tail end of last Thursday’s episode to become the Week 9 Head of Household. But she was thrown a curve ball when Julie Chen Moonves revealed that viewers were going to vote overnight for America’s Prankster, who’d get to choose one of the two eviction nominations and name the renom if the Veto was used.
Holly and her bestie Jackson Michie spent the rest of Thursday and into Friday considering who would be her one nominee for eviction. While Jackson was pushing for Christie Murphy to be the target, Holly was holding out for Nick Maccarone. Before she could reveal her pick, America’s Prankster would get to make theirs in secret.
On Friday afternoon, we found out that Nick, who’d been the lone vote for Christie when she’d been in the firing line last week courtesy of Jackson, was America’s Prankster. No surprise that he singled her out again this week. In turn, Holly named Nick as her sole nominee.
All three of them took part in the POV competition on Saturday afternoon. Also competing were Jackson, Cliff Hogg and Jessica Milagros. With those three set on keeping the nominations as they were, it was make-or-break time for Christie and Nick.
Jackson won the Power of Veto competition. No doubt he will keep the nominees as they are at Monday’s POV ceremony, denying Nick a chance to name the renom. Vote in our poll as to which of Christie or Nick you’d like to see evicted on Thursday. And be sure to sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on #BB21 so far.
