CeeLo Green vs. Darius Rucker: Who’s really ‘The Masked Singer’ Monster? Make your final guess [POLL]

The Masked Singer” judges are having a scary good time trying to guess who’s inside the Monster costume on Fox’s reality TV show. Is it CeeLo Green, Darius Rucker or someone else entirely? Below, we take a look at the judges’ picks and then analyze the clues so far in anticipation of Wednesday’s exciting two-hour finale of “The Masked Singer.” Be sure to give us YOUR final guess for Monster down in our poll, and then defend your choice in the comments section.

After Monster’s performance of Sam Smith‘s “Stay With Me” in last week’s semi-finals episode, Ken Jeong brought up Jamie Foxx‘s name because “he’s gotta have an acting or a comedy background.” Sorry, Ken, but Jamie is way too big of a celebrity to compete on this show so we’re not even going to add him to our poll.

Robin Thicke suggested Darius from Hootie & the Blowfish, saying, “Darius Rucker is a very good singer. He said he’s a father. He also is a very humble, kind man.” The other panelists “oohed” and “aahed” over that guess, but Ken wasn’t sure that Darius had the same dancing abilities as Monster.

Guest panelist Kenan Thompson then chimed in, “I thought CeeLo Green when he was talking, [but] not necessarily when he was singing.” CeeLo once served as a coach on “The Voice,” so reality TV is clearly something that interests him.

Jenny McCarthy said that because of the DJ clues she was thinking someone along the lines of Calvin Harris, but Robin and Nicole Scherzinger quickly dismissed her idea because he’s too tall and he’s not a father. Don’t forget, as Monster revealed earlier, “I’m a father, a husband, a son, a brother and more than anything, I’m a person.”

As Gold Derby’s “Masked Singer” sleuth Paul Sheehan reminds us, “Among the most revealing hints offered up by the Monster was his explanation that he wanted to be on the show ‘to re-write my mixed tape and prove that I am more than just puff and fluff.'” Hmm, could Monster actually be someone that the judges haven’t even guessed yet?

The Season 1 finale of “The Masked Singer” airs Wednesday, February 27 at 8/7 c on Fox. That’s when viewers will finally find out Monster’s true identity, as well as who’s hiding behind the Bee and Peacock masks.
