“Celebrity Big Brother” doesn’t start airing on CBS until Monday (Jan. 21) but we got a look inside the house for a few fleeting minutes on Thursday. The live feeds were turned on to tease us for just one quarter of an hour. This second celebrity edition of the “Big Brother” franchise is following the same format as the regular version and will also be hosted by Julie Chen. The dozen cast members of “Celebrity Big Brother” are split seven to five in favor of the men. Spoilers ahead
The seven fellows taking part are: two athletes (Olympian Ryan Lochte and NFL player Ricky Williams), two actors (Jonathan Bennett, Joey Lawrence), comedian Tom Green, TV personality Kato Kaelin and Trump administration exile Anthony Scaramucci.
The five women in the house are: two reality TV stars (Tamar Braxton of “Braxton Family Values” and Kandi Burruss from “Real Housewives of Atlanta”), two athletes (Olympian Lolo Jones and WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie) and TV personality Dina Lohan.
From the live feeds, we learned that Ryan Lochte has won the first Head of Household competition. At the time we tuned in, he had yet to nominate two of the other 11 houseguests for eviction. And the all-important Power of Veto competition had yet to take place.
In the first season of “CBB” last winter, actress Shannon Elizabeth won the first HoH competition. However, in a twist, she lost that title to Keshia Knight Pulliam who then nominated UFC fighter Chuck Liddell and singer James Maslow. While Shannon won the PoV, she opted to keep the slate the same and Chuck was evicted by a vote of 7 to 1.
