During the Season 2 premiere of “Celebrity Big Brother” host Julie Chen Moonves surprised the winners of the first competition, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and actor/host Jonathan Bennett, with a twist worthy of the reality TV show’s “expect the unexpected” motto. It turns out that one of these comp champs will go on became the Head of Household while the other will be nominated for eviction. Unsurprisingly, both houseguests were shocked by that piece of news. How did the Ryan vs. Jonathan showdown play out in Tuesday’s episode of “Big Brother,” and who ended up becoming the second nominee for eviction?

8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’!” Twelve brand new celebs said goodbye to their normal lives for one month as they stepped into the isolation of the “Big Brother” house. While Ryan and Jonathan won the first challenge, two houseguests were not picked to compete and wound up being safe from the first eviction: actor/host Kato Kaelin and former WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie. Of the remaining players, who’s most in danger of being put on the block next to the loser of the Ryan/Jonathan battle? Let’s find out!
8:10 p.m. – Jonathan and Ryan can’t believe one of them is about to go from the winner’s circle straight to the block. The two of them go off to a corner and talk and Jonathan immediately comes up with a plan. He immediately starts thinking of who they could get into a seven-person alliance to make sure they’re safe no matter what. Tamar Braxton, Kandi Burress, Joey Lawrence, Lolo Jones and Natalie are on their short list. But to seal the deal, Ryan and Jonathan formed a final two deal.
8:15 p.m. – Tamar was thrilled to be invited into an early alliance, but isn’t sure about teaming up with Kandi. Regardless, Tamar tells Kandi about the proposed alliance and Kandi’s on board…for now. Meanwhile, Joey and Lolo head up to the gym and start talking game. Tamar joins them and the women have to school Joey on how to play.. He has no intention of joining an alliance which will probably send him packing early. Lolo tells Jonathan that Joey doesn’t believe in alliances and Jonathan has the perfect response, “Okay, so he’s out!”
8:25 p.m. – The backyard finally opens and Ryan is excited to see the “endless pool” for him to train in. All the men gather round to watch him put on his colorful speedo, all the while making fun of him while basically drooling over him at the same time. Meanwhile, Tom Green and Anthony Scaramucci head inside to discuss Donald Trump. Tom loves The Mooch because he’s savvy, confident and they were both fired by the President. They’re wondering if the government is still shut down and decide to believe everything is resolved.
8:27 p.m. – Lolo and Jonathan discuss Joey’s poor game play with Natalie. Jonathan offers up a final four deal: himself, Ryan, Lolo and Natalie. They think they’ll be an unstoppable force. Meanwhile, in another room, Tamar is telling Kandi, Lolo and Natalie that they need to have each other’s backs. Alliances are getting crossed! Two alliances of four have instantly emerged and Lolo and Natalie have put themselves in the middle. The new four-female alliance is called “The Four Tops.”
8:40 p.m. – It’s not time to crown the first HOH of the season! Jonathan and Ryan are competing in “Blockbusters.” They must fly across the yard to their billboards in an attempt to knock them down. The first person to knock down their billboards will become the first HOH. The loser will go straight onto the Block. Jonathan takes an early lead, but Ryan quickly recovers. Once he gets in the swing of things, Ryan can’t be stopped and the Olympic gold-medalist wins the season’s first HOH!
8:43 p.m. – Ryan’s task as HOH is to nominate two nominees for the chopping block. But sticking true to the twist, Julie reveals Ryan must name two nominees to sit NEXT to Jonathan. There will be three houseguests on the block. Ryan and Jonathan scurry off to the bedroom where Ryan reveals he plans to put up Dina Lohan. In mid-conversation the duo starts getting interrupted by various houseguests. I’m pretty sure Ryan will do whatever Jonathan tells him to though. That is, unless Kandi can sink her teeth into him! She tries to pull Ryan aside, but he doesn’t reveal much to her. “The shade is real, okay?!” Kandi no longer trusts Ryan as an alliance member.
8:45 p.m. – The Mooch tells the other outsiders that if Ryan is smart he will take out the other athletes, so they should be safe! Mooch, Tom and Kato seem to have formed a bond. Something about this odd trio is much more entertaining to me as far as alliances go. Kato calls them “The K Train,” but I don’t think either Tom or Mooch were paying attention to him.
8:55 p.m. – Lolo and Tamar pull Ryan aside to grill him. Ryan says he plans to put up Anthony and Dina. Next, Kandi walks in while Ryan tries to learn how to pronounce Dina. As soon as Kandi walks in, Ryan shuts down which immediately puts her on edge. She will not be putting all her eggs in this basket! Next, Ryan goes and asks Jonathan what to do. I knew this would happen. Jonathan isn’t on board with Ryan’s nomination prospects. Congrats Jonathan! You found the helpless puppy dog who will do whatever you say while thinking it’s his own idea. That’s the best kind of person you can find in the “Big Brother” house.
8:59 p.m. – It’s time to find out who the nominees are! Joining Jonathan on the block are…Anthony and Tom. I’m disappointed because Tom is the most entertaining in the Diary Room so far. The Mooch is determined to get himself out of this bind. Tamar is annoyed because she knows Ryan listened to Jonathan and didn’t tell the girls. Will the women revolt? And who will win the Power of Veto? Find out Wednesday on “Big Brother.”
