The first live episode of “Celebrity Big Brother” Season 2 was one for the record books as two (yes, two!) houseguests went home over the course of the hour. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s start at the beginning. After Ryan Lochte won Head of Household, he nominated actor/comedian Tom Green and former White House communications director Anthony “The Mooch” Scaramucci for eviction. A third nominee — actor/host Jonathan Bennett — was also nominated by default since he lost the mano-a-mano HOH battle against Ryan. So who ended up leaving the “Big Brother” house?

8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’!” In Wednesday’s episode former NFL superstar Ricky Williams won the Veto competition but decided not to use it to save either Tom, Jonathan or the Mooch, explaining, “I didn’t want to get any blood on my hands.” While Jonathan at first looked safe because of his six-person Team USA alliance, things took a turn when Lolo Jones accused Jonathan and Ryan of having a final two deal. If Lolo has flipped on the boys, that could mean trouble for Jonathan. And, hey, what’s the deal with tonight’s shocking second elimination? Let’s go!
8:07 p.m. – Julie reveals to the audience that one of the houseguests will be leaving the house before the vote even begins! “Nothing is as it seems,” she says. I’m so confused. What is happening??? Mooch says he has one more trick up his sleeve this week that’s going to surprise everyone. Meanwhile, Ryan pulls Jonathan aside and reveals that he saw Tamar Braxton and Natalie Eva Marie low-fiving each other when Ricky Williams chose not to use his Veto. Ryan and Jonathan seem to know something is up.
8:10 p.m. – “Celebrity News” comes onto the television and all the houseguests gather in the living room. It is revealed that one celebrity is not a real houseguest and is actually part of a twist that will shake up the game! Who is it? The Mooch! Mooch comes onto the screen and reveals he is part of the “Celebrity Big Brother” twist. From now on, he’s out of the house. He then says he’s giving the current nominees a second chance at safety. For the first time ever, there will be TWO Veto competitions before the eviction. And since Mooch is out of the house, Ryan must nominate another houseguest for eviction! Who has he chosen? Kandi Burress! He’s nominating her because their personalities don’t mesh and they don’t talk much. Who isn’t upset by Kandi’s nomination? Tamar.
8:15 p.m. – Ryan, Jonathan, Tom and Kandi along with two other houseguests will compete in “Mooch’s Veto” which is about his favorite thing: himself. Kandi is salty about her nomination but Ryan’s target is still Lolo. It doesn’t sit well with him that she flipped him off and he’s convinced she has an alliance with Kandi and Tamar.
8:20 p.m. – Kato Kaelin and Dina Lohan were drawn to play in “Mooch’s Veto” along with Ryan, Jonathan, Tom and Kandi. The five of them are in the backyard surrounded by headlines about Mooch. The first houseguest to determine which headlines are true will win Mooch’s Power of Veto. It would seem that Tom should be good at this because he was the closest to Mooch in the house, but he looks like he’s struggling. Kato reveals that he would like to win the Veto to save Tom himself. Jonathan is confident in his memory and wants to be the first to answer so he leaves the competition with an answer of nine true headlines. Next, Dina guesses seven, Tom guesses seven, Ryan guesses seven, and Kandi goes with six true headlines. Kato takes his time and is the last to deliver an answer: eight. Who answered the correct answer the most quickly? Kato! He may have been last, but he was the only one to answer correctly. Will he save Tom?
8:30 p.m. – Lolo is nervous that Kato will use the Veto and she will get backdoored. Kato pulls Tom aside and reassures him that he plans to save him. For his gratitude, Tom says he will never vote for Kato and they solidify at final two deal. Meanwhile, Ryan struts into Lolo’s room with an obnoxious look on his face. He asks her if everything is okay and she pouts and cops an attitude, doing herself no favors. Ryan denies a plan to backdoor her, but Lolo and her jealous, immature attitude seem to be getting to Ryan. He no longer wants to hurt her feelings and isn’t sure backdooring her is a good idea anymore. Boo! Ryan is such a pushover.
8:40 p.m. – It’s time for the Veto meeting! Kato reveals that he will USE the Power of Veto to save Tom. Now, Ryan must nominate a FOURTH person this week. Rough week for Ryan; that’s a lot of blood on his hands. Ryan decides to put up a pawn and chooses the stupidest pawn I could imagine: Joey Lawrence. Why not put up someone in Kandi’s alliance if that’s his target? I guess he wants the girls to think their alliance is still strong, but hopes Kandi is evicted. Tom and Kato scatter to another room and realize they have the power to choose who goes home. Tom says it’s in their best interest to keep Kandi because they can beat her in competitions. They should evict Jonathan or Joey. Next, they pull in Ricky. Ricky thinks they should definitely evict Jonathan. Lolo joins in and tries to convince the men that evicting Kandi would bring peace to the house. Does she know how to play this game? I guess she thinks Ryan and Jonathan are still on her side.
8:55 p.m. – It’s time for the live vote and eviction! Voting for Joey: Nobody. Voting for Jonathan: Kato, Tamar, Ricky, Tom, Lolo and Natalie. Voting for Kandi: Dina. By a vote of 6-1-0, Jonathan has been evicted from the “Celebrity Big Brother” house. Ryan’s jaw hit the floor as his best friend in the house walked out the door.
8:59 p.m. – There are still 10 celebrities remaining in the game. Who among them will rise to power as the next HOH? And which two houseguests will be nominated for eviction? Find out Sunday!
