In Wednesday’s jam-packed episode of “Celebrity Big Brother,” the third Head of Household was crowned and a brand new twist was unleashed on the house known as the Power of the Publicist. America voted for who won this exclusive offering, which gave one contestant the power to remove themselves from the block at the next two nomination ceremonies or veto meetings. So how did it all play out, and who became the next two nominees for eviction?

8:00 p.m. — “Previously on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’!” In Monday’s episode Dina Lohan was removed from the block by Tom Green after he won the Veto competition. HOH Kato Kaelin then nominated Ryan in Dina’s place, setting the stage for an epic backdoor situation. The 12-time Olympic medalist ended up being evicted by a 6-1 vote over Tamar Braxton, and so Ryan left the house and spilled the beans to host Julie Chen Moonves. Who will follow in Kato’s footsteps as the third Head of Household? Let’s go!
8:10 p.m. – Now that Ryan is out of the house, Kato feels as though he accomplished a major feat but now he needs the next HOH in his corner. Joey Lawrence approaches Kato and Tom and offers himself up as a pawn, hoping to get in their good graces. Who would have thought before this season began that Kato and Tom would be running the house? Meanwhile, Lolo Jones is sobbing in the other room because she feels guilty for betraying a fellow Olympian. Now Joey is telling anyone who will listen about the Tom, Kato, Lolo and Natalie Eva Marie alliance. He’s hoping he can align with Tamar, Dina and Kandi Burress to balance out the house. Meanwhile, Ricky Williams is proving to be the biggest rat in the house! He’s in another room telling Natalie and Lolo that Joey said the girls are walking around too comfortably in the house. Natalie is fuming!
8:30 p.m. – It’s time for the HOH competition! One at a time, houseguests are called to the “Slaughter House.” Their goal is to escape a pitch black house, locate the car keys and get to their vehicle the fastest. As the outgoing HOH, Kato is not eligible to compete. Natalie and Kandi maneuvered fairly well through the house, but next it was Tamar’s turn. The R&B diva completely went into a panic attach before she even entered the house. She is such a drama queen! I’m sort of enjoying how mortified she is right now. Unfortunately, she copped out and quit before she even made it through one room. Lame! Nobody else had any real issues in the house and judging by the editing, I would guess this HOH will come down to Tom, Lolo, Ricky and Joey. Finally, it’s time for Kato to reveal the results. With a time of 4:19, Joey is in the lead over Dina and Natalie. Did Kandi, Lolo, Ricky or Tom beat him?
8:40 p.m. – Tom’s time was revealed to be 3:07 and that will hold up for the win. Tom is the new HOH! Ricky and Lolo were about 40 seconds behind him. Tamar is pretty sure she’s about to go back on the block, but the haunted house just wasn’t worth it to her. Joey also feels vulnerable and Kato couldn’t be more thrilled that Tom won. Down in the kitchen, Kandi straight up asks Tom if he’s in any alliances. He diverts the question back to her and she says she isn’t doing anything. Tom asks what she thinks he should do and pretends he cares what her opinion is. Later, Tom goes to discuss what his alliance name should be with Kato, Lolo and Natalie. Ricky interrupts the conversation and Tom decides he would be a good addition to the team. Ricky signs on to the alliance, but is adamant they don’t name it. Especially Tom’s idea of #TeamFun. Although Ricky said he’s on board with this alliance, he’s really not.
8:50 p.m. – Kato, Ricky and Tom are discussing their options. Tom thinks he should put up Tamar and Joey, but Kato suggests Tamar and Kandi. Ricky agrees that Tamar and Kandi will never vote each other out. In the back of Tom’s mind, he actually thinks it might be a better idea to blindside Ricky! Later, Tom and Kato go talk alone. They’re confident with Lolo and Natalie, but Tom’s not sold on Ricky. Kato believes Ricky will honor their Final Five. Tom isn’t sure he can beat Ricky when they get down to five. Why not keep the weakest player, Tamar?
8:55 p.m. – The houseguests find out America has been playing the role of publicist and have voted for one player to get a very special power. In the Diary Room it is revealed to Tamar that she has won the Power of the Publicist! If she gets nominated at the Nomination Ceremony or Veto Meeting she can pull herself off the block. It expires on February 4. I can’t believe the most dramatic person in the house won this power! Tom would like to figure out who has the power so he can nominate them and flush it out. Talking with Kato and Ricky, Tom believes Kandi, Tamar or Joey are the likeliest winners.
8:59 p.m. – It’s time for the Nomination Ceremony! Tom has nominated Joey and Kandi for eviction. He likes them both, but when the “Celebrity Breaking News” happened, his gut told him it was one of them. He nominated them to see if he was right, but he’s not! Ricky is still a backdoor option in Tom’s mind. Who will win the Power of Veto and will it save Kandi or Joey from the chopping block? And who will be the next player evicted from the house? Find out Saturday, February 2 on “Celebrity Big Brother!”
