Cliff Hogg defends decision to not lie to Christie Murphy about ‘Big Brother’ Veto: ‘I’m not that kind of man’

Cliff Hogg had a big decision to make leading up to the Veto ceremony during Wednesday’s episode of “Big Brother.” With Jackson Michie winning the Veto and pulling himself off of the block, Cliff could either keep his word to Christie Murphy and put up Isabella Wang as a replacement nominee, or lie to her and nominate someone from Christie Six Shooters alliance. In the end, Cliff decided to honor his word. “I could have made a huge move against Christie, but it would have involved me breaking the promise that I made to her,” he explained in the Diary Room, adding, “I’m not that kind of man.” Do you think Cliff made the right decision? Sound off down in the comments section.

“My family’s watching,” Cliff continued on. “I had to stay true to my word. And hopefully I bought some safety and some good will from the other side.” Whether or not the Six Shooters — Christie, Jack, Michie, Tommy Bracco, Analyse Talavera and Holly Allen — remove Cliff from their crosshairs remains to be seen, but at this point Cliff has said that he’s still gunning for Jack to go home because he’s the biggest threat in the house.

Christie was ecstatic in the Diary Room, shouting for joy that her plan to backdoor Bella without having to use her Panic Whacktivity worked out. “I cannot believe what just happened!” she exclaimed while smiling ear to ear. “I managed to save my power for a rainy day, and now I have a new ally in Cliff. Things could not have gone any better. Thank you, universe!”

Bella was brought to tears following Cliff’s decision to nominate her for eviction. “This is absolutely my worst case scenario,” she harrumphed. “I’m sitting next to Jack who apparently everyone loves and just wants to do whatever he says. I don’t understand, but I am not going to give up. I know the odds are so against me, but I’m going to ensure that I do everything that I absolutely can to stay in this game.”

Who will be evicted live on Thursday night: Jack or Bella? And who will become the next Head of Household? If you’ve already made your “Big Brother” predictions at Gold Derby, be sure to update them now that the Veto has been used to change Cliff’s nominations.
