Alfonso Ribeiro won the 19th season of “Dancing with the Stars” with Witney Carson, so you can probably guess who he’s cheering for to take home the Mirrorball next week.
“I always have to root for Witney. That’s obviously my girl forever,” he told “Us Weekly.”
Carson is partnered with Kel Mitchell this season, and the two have slowly emerged as strong contenders, posting a their first perfect score last week. But with a stacked top five and one more elimination looming on Monday, Ribeiro has some backups in case he can’t root for his girl.
“It’s pretty cool that Sasha [Farber] and Emma [Slater] both have a partner in the top five, so if it’s not Witney, then I want one of them,” the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum said.

Farber and Slater, who got engaged on the show and tied the knot last year, have never been competed in a final together, but they look strong, at least on paper, to break that drought now. Farber and Ally Brooke have notched three perfect scores, though they’ve landed in the bottom two twice, while Slater and James Van Der Beek have been favorites since the start of the season.
Though it’s been five years since his big win, Ribeiro is still very close to his “Dancing” fam. In fact, he hosts a “Dancing” Friendsgiving every year for the pros since the fall season usually ends the week of Thanksgiving.
“We just get together. We talk. We talk about the season, typically, the good and the bad and the stuff that no one ever knows about,” he shared. “It’s just about spending quality time [together] because their season is ending and then they go out on tour, and it’s kind of that little break they get to kind of relax before going out on tour. It’s a great time. … We talk all the time.”
