Another week, another bad outcome on “Dancing with the Stars.” That’s according to the fans we polled, who thought Kate Flannery‘s elimination from the show was a bad call. You’d think a show in which viewer votes account for half of the result would be better at pleasing the masses, but as long as a certain political figure keeps getting unconditional votes from partisans, it looks like this could be the new normal. Scroll down to see our complete poll results at the bottom of this post.
Only 11% of readers thought that Flannery deserved to be eliminated. Even the judges thought she was robbed, and they’re the ones who sent her home. This season the judges have been able to save one dancer from the chopping block after the bottom two are revealed, but they were “irritated” that Flannery landed in the bottom two with Ally Brooke, who had just gotten the season’s first perfect score. A mere 8% of our respondents thought Brooke should have been sent home instead, which means only 19% thought the celeb who should have been eliminated was even an option in that bottom two.
The other 81% of our readers thought the contestant who should have gone home wasn’t even in jeopardy — gee, I wonder who. While the show’s voting is still haywire, at least our polls have been fairly consistent. Around 90% of our readers also objected to the eliminations of Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Karamo Brown. Will this season get back on track anytime soon, or will the dancing part of “Dancing with the Stars” continue to be irrelevant?
