“Dancing with the Stars” has another married couple in its pro ranks now. Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson got married on Saturday — and yes, lots of “Dancing” folks were on hand for the nuptials.
The ceremony took place at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palo Verdes, California, before 200 guests, according to People.
“Mr. & Mrs. Chmerkovskiy 04~13~2019,” Johnson posted on Instagram, along with a shot from their big day. Chmerkovskiy, who proposed last June, posted the same photo and nearly identical caption on his Instagram.
As previously reported, Adam Rippon, with whom Johnson won the “Athletes” season, was a bridesman in her bridal party, which included fellow pro Lindsay Arnold, her friend Lani, So You Think You Can Dance winner Gabby Diaz, and her sisters, Stacy Johnson Bills and Jill Zenger, who were co-maids of honor.
Chmerkovkiy’s best man, of course, was his brother Maksim, for whom Val served as best man at Maks’ 2017 wedding to Peta Murgatroyd. The two-time champ’s groomsmen were Nicole Volynets, Ted Volynets, Igor Drobyazko, Alex Samusevich and Eugene Livshits.
“Dancing” pros in attendance were Emma Slater and Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Alan Bersten, Witney Carson, Brandon Armstrong, Artem Chigvintsev (who attended with former partner and new girlfriend Nikki Bella) and troupe member Hayley Erbert. The couple’s former partners, Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile, Laurie Hernandez, Ginger Zee and Normani Kordei were also there, as were “Dancing” alums Alfonso Ribeiro and Candace Cameron Bure.
One person who was MIA was Tom Bergeron, who sent his regrets on Twitter. “Congratulations to two of my favorite people, @JennaJohnson and @iamValC on their knot tying festivities,” he wrote. “Had to be on the opposite coast but I was with you in spirit which, admittedly, spared you from witnessing my drunken wedding dancing.”

If the new Mr. and Mrs. Chmerkovskiy return for Season 28 this fall, you know Bergeron will for sure bring it up — not to mention, the show will milk another husband and wife battle. Slater and Farber are the current dueling spouses on the show (Murgatroyd wants to return, but the elder Chmerkovskiy bro is done as a pro).
And after Chmerkovskiy “biffed” his answer last year during Most Memorable Year Week, he can “redeem” himself by naming 2019 now.
