During Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer” Season 2, Dr. Drew Pinsky was revealed to be hiding behind the Eagle mask. This talk show host went up against Flower in the initial vote and Penguin in the Smackdown, losing both head-to-head match-ups on Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV show. In his “The Masked Singer” exit interview, Dr. Drew proclaimed, “There is literally no other experience on earth like this.” Watch the video above.
“I have no rock ‘n’ roll fantasy,” Dr. Drew revealed soon after host Nick Cannon removed his Eagle mask. “Well, at least I didn’t think I did. But when I put on the mask, suddenly it emerged. I think this experience has changed me. It challenged me, certainly. It feels like I got a little more range now. I can do things I didn’t know I could do. I could not do it without this [mask], I just could not do it.”
As for his Smackdown against Penguin, Dr. Drew confessed she “nailed” her song choice of “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony. “It was just a very strong performance, and that’s the game.” Dr. Drew’s Smackdown song, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” by Nancy Sinatra, paled in comparison in the eyes of the judges. His initial performance was to the classic song “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meat Loaf.
“To be able to do something so different from who I am, that was fun,” Dr. Drew added. He then poked fun at the judges’ wrong guesses, saying “they were kind of close but way off at the same time.” To recap, Robin Thicke guessed Howard Stern, Jenny McCarthy picked Adam Carolla, Ken Jeong went with Craig Ferguson and Nicole Scherzinger chose Jeff Foxworthy.
Dr. Drew concluded that the best part of “The Masked Singer” wasn’t just being anonymous, it was “being anonymous but becoming something else. This [Eagle] is going home with me. I mean, I can’t just give this up.” Did you guess Dr. Drew was hiding behind the Eagle mask? Sound off down in the comments section.
