Child opera singer Emanne Beasha returned to the “America’s Got Talent” stage to perform for the final time for America’s votes, and she did not disappoint. The 10-year-old took on the classic tune “La Mamma Morta” and had all four judge on their feet: Simon Cowell, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel. In fact, Julianne even raved she was “otherworldly.” Do you think Emanne will join the “AGT” winners list? Watch the performance video above, read the judges’ comments below and then make your predictions before Wednesday’s finale.
Julianne Hough: “I mean, that’s right. Last week we said that you were from another planet, but I think you just took us all to another planet because that was otherworldly. We’ve said it a thousand times, but you are an angel and you’re perfect. You’re literally perfect. The stars are aligned for you right now. Own it.”
Simon Cowell: “Emanne, this is like when I used to watch the Olympics and you’d see these young kids do these gymnastics, which I haven’t got a bloody clue what it’s all about other than you sit there and go, that talent is extraordinary. I’ve never heard the song before — doesn’t matter. You have the most incredible, incredible voice and my God do you deserve to be here tonight.”
Howie Mandel: “I gotta say, there’s no denying that that is amazing. I told you I’m not a fan of opera, but it just so happens that the one song that you sang tonight is the song I work out to. And I hear that you’re also a BTS fan, so someone that’s a BTS fan singing that kind of music, you span the entire gambit for music. I love you.”
Gabrielle Union: “Emanne, we love you so much. Your voice is literal perfection. If an angel dropped down to earth today, she would sound like you. You are an actual angel on this earth and such a blessing to us all. And such a loving, kind young woman in real life. I love you.”
In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the performance: “After getting the judges’ save in the semifinals, Emanne Beasha really had to turn the dial up in order to convince the audience to vote for her as the winner. As expected, her voice was as otherworldly as it’s ever been. I mean, honestly, her voice is like it’s coming from the lungs of someone five times her age (she’s 10! and turning 11 tomorrow!), but opera singing, on a show like AGT and especially after acts like V.Unbeatable and DYC can read as very sleepy. Tonight Emanne was great and the talent is obviously there, but I can’t help but say that it’s just not as inspiring as some of the other acts. That being said, Simon called her talent ‘extraordinary’ and Gabrielle pointed out how loving and kind she is in person.”
