Emmys 2019: ‘Game of Thrones’ cast reuniting as presenters on ceremony

A full year after filming their final scenes, the “Game of Thrones” cast will be reuniting on the 2019 Emmy Awards ceremony as presenters. The Television Academy announced other presenters for the September 22 event on Wednesday, including nominees Stephen Colbert (“Late Show with Stephen Colbert”), Viola Davis (“How to Get Away with Murder”), Michael Douglas (“The Kominsky Method”), Jimmy Kimmel (“Jimmy Kimmel Live”), Seth Meyers (“Late Night with Seth Meyers”) and Billy Porter (“Pose”).

Also revealed in the first wave of presenters are Angela Bassett (“9-1-1”), Taraji P. Henson (“Empire”), Terrence Howard (“Empire”), Peter Krause (“9-1-1-“), Naomi Watts (“The Loudest Voice”) and Zendaya (“Euphoria”). The 10 “GOT” cast members on stage will be Alfie Allen, Gwendoline Christie, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Carice van Houten and Maisie Williams.

The 71st annual Emmys air live on Fox at 8:00 ET; 5:00 PT. Don Mischer Productions and Done+Dusted are the producers. The ceremony will have no host this year.
