Eugene Levy (‘Schitt’s Creek’) 2019 Emmy Awards episode revealed for Best Comedy Actor (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Eugene Levy is entering the “Schitt’s Creek” episode “Rock On!” as his 2019 Emmy Awards submission for Best Comedy Actor. This program aired February 12 and was the sixth episode of the fifth season for the Pop show.

In this installment, Johnny Rose (Levy) must have a conversation with Stevie (Emily Hampshire) about workplace intimacy. Moira (Catherine O’Hara) and the Jazzagals go to a casino with Jocelyn (Jenn Robertson).

Levy has had nine previous Emmy nominations with wins for writing “SCTV” in 1982 and 1983. He is also contending as a producer in Best Comedy Series this year. For this 2019 acting race, he is competing against reigning champ Bill Hader (“Barry”), previous winners Ted Danson (“The Good Place”) and Michael Douglas (“The Kominsky Method”) and returning nominees Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”) and Don Cheadle (“Black Monday”).
