Surprise! Fox announces 2 back-to-back episodes of ‘The Masked Singer’ will air Wednesday [WATCH]

If you’ve been going through “The Masked Singer” withdrawals because of Fox’s recent broadcasting of the World Series, you’re in luck. This Wednesday, November 6, fans will see TWO back-to-back episodes of “The Masked Singer,” which will result in a pair of dramatic unmaskings. “For the first time, everyone performs in one night, and the biggest names yet will be revealed,” teases the preview trailer video (watch above).

Host Nick Cannon returns along with the four regular panelists: Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. Special guest judge Anthony Anderson will also be on hand to give his guesses in the show’s second hour.

Here’s how the two episodes will play out on Wednesday night:

Hour 1 features the return of Fox, Flower, Ladybug, Penguin, Rottweiler and Tree. These six performers have only sang once so far on the reality TV show, so you’ll be forgiven if you don’t recall their debut performances. The four front-runners who won their initial head-to-head match-ups were Fox for “This Love,” Flower for “9 to 5,” Rottweiler for “Maneater” and Tree for “High Hopes.” The two celebs who faced elimination but prevailed in their individual Smackdowns were Ladybug for “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” and Penguin for “Worth It.”

Hour 2 welcomes back the group of five singers who most recently performed together on October 16: Black Widow, Butterfly, Flamingo, Leopard and Thingamajig. Their sixth member, Skeleton, lost the audience vote and unmasked to reveal musician Paul Shaffer.

Besides Shaffer, the other four eliminated contestants so far on “The Masked Singer” Season 2 have been figure skater Johnny Weir (Egg), gamer Ninja (Ice Cream), boxer Laila Ali (Panda) and talk show host Dr. Drew Pinsky (Eagle). Which two costumed characters do YOU think will be sent home Wednesday night?
