“This is by far the hardest goodbye I’ve had to say,” declared a tearful Hannah Brown after eliminating Mike Johnson on “The Bachelorette.” Hannah broke the bad news to this 31-year-old portfolio manager from San Antonio, Texas midway through their trip to the Netherlands, which crushed his heart as he was falling head over heels in love with the former Miss Alabama USA. “Mike deserves to be loved fiercely just as much as I do,” Hannah added, and since she couldn’t give that to him she put an end to their journey. Watch the emotional “Bachelorette” video above.
Following their fun one-on-one date through the Netherlands, which included a modeling session for a local painter, Mike arrived at dinner with a huge smile on his face. Unfortunately, he was greeted with the worse news possible. “You’ve talked about your three ladies in your life,” Hannah began while weeping buckets. “They’re so amazing and you’re looking for your fourth lady … and I know that I’m not that fourth lady.”
After a long exhale, Mike finally responded, “Hannah, that’s hard to say, but it’s what needed to say if how you feel.” He continued on, “I can’t say that I’m happy. I don’t know what to say, except thank you for being honest.” With that, the ex-couple hugged and then she walked him to the elevator and watched as he descended out of her life forever.
Seven suitors traveled to the Netherlands to try to win Hannah’s heart, with three being eliminated before next week’s hometown visits: Mike, Connor Saeli and Garrett Powell. While Connor was also let down privately after a one-on-one conversation with Hannah, Garrett was utterly humiliated by being sent home in front of his arch rival Luke Parker. See Garrett’s not-so-kind parting words about Luke.
Now only four guys are in the running to be named the winner of “The Bachelorette” Season 15: Luke, Tyler Cameron, Peter Weber and Jed Wyatt. Vote in our poll below to let us know which bachelor YOU hope Hannah ultimately chooses, and then be sure to defend your choice in the comments section.
