Hannah Brown is clarifying her dating status with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ partner Alan Bersten once and for all

For the umpteenth time, Hannah Brown is not dating Alan Bersten, thank you very much.

The former Bachelorette and her “Dancing with the Stars” partner have been the subject of showmance speculation the entire season, and even though they denied it the very first week, that hasn’t stopped fans from thinking “will they? won’t they?” But on Friday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Brown flat-out said no again when guest host Justin Hartley directly asked if the two were dating.

“No, I’m not. I’m not,” she stated (watch above). “We’re great friends. He kind of has to be my best friend, so I make him be. He cries about it. No, but it has been an amazing experience.”

The former beauty pageant queen said she still has “trauma from dating”; therefore, “we’re not going to do that right now. We’re going to dance.” Conspiracy theorists will probably latch onto the “right now.” But Brown insists she really does not have time to date and is enjoying the “Dancing” experience after a year of trying to find love on national television.

“I barely have time to get paper towels. I’m out of paper towels right now. I should probably get some,” Brown laughed. “I don’t have time to date right now. I tried that. I actually dated 30 guys at one time — I don’t know if you know this. I spent a whole year of my life trying to date and it still didn’t work out.”

Brown previously and dismissively said “no” when one of her friends asked if a romance was blossoming between her and Bersten in a rehearsal package on “Dancing.” Earlier this month, she admitted it was frustrating dealing with the dating rumors, but understands people’s interest in her love life. “This is, honestly, the investment of my life that people have is through my relationships,” she said. “And so I think I would be stupid to think that that’s just gonna go away.”
